The WRAT 5 assesses single-word reading, single-word spelling, reading comprehension and maths. It is a valuable tool for diagnostic assessment, exam access arrangements and monitoring students’ progress. It is an approved SASC test, although the comprehension test is unsuitable for a full diagnostic assessment as it uses a Cloze Process.
